Away Luggage Uses AI to Inspire Real Travel

There were lots of stage presentations last week at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity talking about AI. What it is. How it’s going to change the world. How we have to embrace ourselves.

AI is coming AI is here. But how do we use it?

Here’s how the Away brand is using it … to show how it doesn’t replace real life travel. The brand did a big install in Venice, CA to showcase AI as an inspiration to book a physical trip. Interesting flip on the AI narrative. Away even posted a full page ad in the NYTimes, a very traditional tactic to help make the point.

Like many of us, I am watching the AI space carefully not because I think it’s going to replace us all, but because I believe it gives us another way to creatively engage our audiences and as marketers do our jobs better. Much like many forms of technology that came before it.

This example from Away is merely one example.

Well done. What’s your experience? JIM
