Health and Wellness at the Super Bowl

As I mentioned in my post-SuperBowl post the other day, this year’s advertisers played back the reality of our lives today … I weighed in on the presence of electric cars, real estate, and new currencies.

There was also a fair amount of health and wellness represented as well, also showcasing our “new” reality.

Cue Health … another smart device for the home that tests for COVID-19. Our new reality for sure. Love how the brand put itself up there with other smart devices that have made our home lives easier, safer, and well, more well.

Planet Fitness …. the brand uses the “revitalization” of Lindsay Lohan to show the health and wellness benefits of regular exercise. Something that fell by the wayside for many during the pandemic. Time to make it a priority and “Feel Fitacular.”

Hologic … one of my favs of the night came from tech diagnostic company Hologic featuring half-time star Mary J. Blige to encourage women to get tested. Proactive health screenings have suffered through the pandemic and it’s time to get back on track. While the focus has been on taking care of family, it’s time to take care of self too. Advances in health technologies is certainly helping. And Mary J. Blige can get women paying attention.

Important to note: these health and wellness spots didn’t have a “doom and gloom” feel at all. Very positive, optimistic, and actually real. Inspiring.
