It’s been a big week for big news in the marketing world. Taco Bell announced its new Chief Impact Officer, Lil Nas X. And Tiffany & Co. announced its new spokespeople, Beyonce and Jay Z. Both firsts.

Well a lot of firsts with the Tiffany’s move.

The new Tiffany & Co campaign represents the first time the couple appears together for a brand, the first time a black woman wears the iconic Tiffany Diamond (128 carats), and the first showing of the famed painting “Equals Pi” from Jean-Michel Basquiat.

More importantly, the campaign continues Tiffany’s commitment to love, and in fact the campaign is called “About Love.” The company is also pledging funding for scholarships and internships for HBCUs, something near and dear to Beyonce’s heart.

It’s not out yet, but will be in the fall. But news this big should set the stage for a huge premiere … ala Beyonce and Jay Z … and Tiffany & Co!
