Believe in a Seventh Generation

It seems like every brand on the planet is searching for “purpose” these days. I’d bet that if you’re in marketing and communications then the word “purpose” pops up several times a day. For some days, it’s a journey and for others it’s a bit more natural.

I think for the brand Seventh Generation it’s a bit more natural. Preserving the environment is a purpose that was built directly into the brand from day one. So much so that the brand has put itself into the center of the climate change discussion. And clearly the brand also knows that timing is everything when it released this video right after President’s Trump’s State of the Union address on February 4th.

“Climate change is our generation’s problem to solve!” Taking responsibility! Taking action! Making a statement and putting a path forward! Well done, I would say. And perfectly tied to what the brand is all about, with an aim toward getting people to reconsider the brand. Or consider it for the first time. And join in a solution.

“The next great generation…believe in a Seventh Generation.”
