Spotify “Music is the Best Disease” #MusicMonday

Spotify is here to say that “music is the best disease,” and I can’t say that I’m here to argue. Music is infectious after all! When we find a song or an artist we love, we spread it around! In a new campaign that shows how Summer music brings us all together, Spotify is showing the disease-like qualities of music and how it spreads across us all, bringing us all together. True enough and very fun.

Here’s one of the little films, titled “Summer Hits Symptoms:”

Truthfully, we don’t see a lot of marketing from Spotify so I find this not only creative but also interesting to see the brand’s voice come to life. And interesting to see how the brand finds a way to connect with its audience.

We all live for those big Summer songs that become the anthems of Summer memories. I know I always have. For 2024, most folks say it was this big hit:

Remember this one?!?

Or this one, from Summer herself …

Music is the best disease, quite a contagious one at that! What will be THE song of Summer 2025? Some say it’s this one, although it came out way before Summer …

What say you? What’s your experience? JIM

P.S.: Spotify has had a huge installation at The Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity for the last several years, another example of its marketing and connection to its community. Take a look at this tour of the playground the brand created at the beach:
