“Could Have Been A Heineken” by Heineken
You know those endless voice notes from friends? The ones that go on and on, and you're stuck listening because what if you miss something important? So you sit there, half-listening, fully annoyed, hoping it ends.
Heineken gets it. And in Milan, they launched a multi-format campaign with a simple insight: That long voice note could have been a live conversation over a beer.
It's a brilliant solution because it's not preachy. It's not "put your phone down." It's "imagine what you're actually missing by not being in the same room." And it taps into something real about how we communicate now because we're so connected digitally that we've forgotten how much better it is to talk in person.
Over a beer.
The campaign is consistent with what Heineken's been doing for awhile now … getting people together in real life, socially. This execution works too because it starts with something that actually annoys people and turns it into a positive.
So the joke lands perfectly, socially, and advances the campaign.
Stop sending voice notes. Come have a Heineken instead.
One universal insight wrapped up in a compelling behavioral observation from a “social” brand.
