Pepsi Turns 125 Years Old!

There are not many brands that can achieve this milestone … 125 years on the market! Well that’s where brand Pepsi was at on August 28th of this year and the brand used the monumental date to start 125 days of celebrations to make the most of its anniversary.

One could argue that the celebrating started in the Spring when Pepsi announced its new logo, the first refresh in 14 years. I quite like the boldness … will certainly pop off of a real or virtual shelf!

For the celebration, there are also drink giveaways, dining experiences, and loads more in store (and likely in store) between now and New Year’s Day. A fitting 125-day plan for an iconic brand.

Well done! 125 years is no small feat especially when you consider how engrained the brand has been in pop culture throughout that journey. It’s not easy to stay relevant and there are certainly ups and downs for any tenured brand, but Pepsi is a master at aligned with pop culture. It’s inspiring for tenured and new brands alike. And I like that!
