Google Honors the Uvalde Victims

The Google Doodle (the ever-changing Google logo on the front page of the search engine) is a continually-changling signal of what’s going on in the world. Holidays, celebrations, social issues. And sometimes tributes.

This week the Google Doodle is honoring the victims of the Uvalde mass shooting. Turns out that before her death one of the victims had submitted a piece of art in a national Doodle contest where Google seeks to motivate young artists.

While it’s a wonderful tribute, it’s also a heart-breaking reminder of the lives lost and the futures destroyed.

Thank you Google for the tribute and the harsh reminder that we need to do more. We must do more! We can do more! We must do more!
