Absolut "Out and Open"

Absolut Vodka has long been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, ever since it hit American shores in 1979. Yes, 1979. The brand is an active member of the community as well, so it knows what’s important to its fellow community members.

Which is why Absolut has been monitoring the fact that LGBTQ+ bars have been particularly hard hit from the pandemic, with a far greater portion of establishments being forced to close. Rightly so, this is important to the Absolut brand.

To offer support, the brand is launching a new campaign called “Out and Open” that features owners of these local community LGBTQ+ bars to raise awareness of their importance in the community. The brand is also partnering with local LGBT!+ Chambers of Commerce to provide support, guidance, and training to these bar owners to help them stay afloat.

These establishments are vitally important to keep the feeling of belonging alive in these communities. Vitally important. They offer a safe space to be who you are and quite honestly to learn who you are. So thank you Absolut for your continued support.
