Kenvue

My very first job in marketing was at Johnson & Johnson Baby Products, which later merged with another division to become Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products. I was right out of grad school and I thought I had arrived. After wanting to go into marketing practically my entire life (I know that sounds hard to believe), getting “into” a place like J&J was literally a dream come true. I started out working in suncare and baby care and then Reach toothbrush and then spent the bulk of my time in skin care most notably on Clean & Clear. That launch was career defining for me! What a whirlwind!

One of the best parts about working at J&J is the network you build. It stays with you for your entire career. Even after you leave, you become part of the alumni network. Once at J&J, always at J&J. As an agency partner, I’ve been so proud of the work I’ve continued over and over again with J&J colleagues old and new.

So of course I’ve been anxiously waiting the news of the new name of the company, having announced that the organization is splitting into two entities. Essentially one focused on the healthcare industry and one focused on consumer health and wellness.

Well my alma mater, the consumer side, just this week announced its new name … Kenvue. The name is a combination of “Ken” which stands for knowledge and “vue” which stands for light. The logo design is said to bring together the precision of science with the warmth of care.

I get it. I love it. I’m proud to always be a part of it.

Best of luck to all as you embark on your new adventure.
