LEGO "Adults Welcome"

LEGO is a mega-brand that I write about with some frequency. The way that it inspires creativity, learning, and collaboration via “building” is just, well, inspiring.

But we definitely tend to think of LEGO as a kids’ brand. But the truth is that creativity, learning, and collaboration all need to be continually fostered in adults too. Enter an entire world of LEGO for adults … “Adults Welcome!” LEGO has a huge line of products meant to inspire adults. Here’s a video “campaign” that brings the benefits to light …

It’s not easy for a brand to cross demographics and appeal to different segments with essentially the same brand equity. Many have tried to bridge from child to adult or vice versa and it doesn’t often work. “Adults Welcome” works. And I find it interesting that the same emotional benefit applies across the ages.

Signal of a mega-brand. Well done.
