Hallmark Channel - Same Sex Holiday Advert

Holiday adverts are coming at us left and right these days, and I’m loving every minute it. I’m trying not to turn this blog into a pure holiday-post fest, but it’s hard to resist.

Here’s one of the latest that ran on the Hallmark Channel (during all of their infamous holiday movies) from Zola.com (a wedding planning site) … but then the channel abruptly opted to pull out because of pressure from advocacy groups. You’ll see that it features a same-sex couple getting married:

Sure the channel buckled under pressure, but then just as quickly rebounded with an apology and a reinstatement of not only this execution but also same-sex couple portrayals in totality.

Glad the brand thought twice.
