Louis Vuitton Launches “The Louis” Retail Store In Shanghai
On a lighter note today …

Talk about a retail experience! This past June, luxury retailer Louis Vuitton opened up a new concept store in Shanghai, China that is built to look like a cruise ship both inside and outside.
It’s called “The Louis,” and it’s meant to celebrate the brand’s heritage of luxury travel. It is true, the brand has a deep legacy in travel goods starting way back in offering beautiful travel trunks and luggage.
The Louis Vuitton travel trunk has become an iconic symbol of the brand, and in fact it is now the facade for the renovation for the New York Flagship store.
“The Louis” permanent store in Shanghai is a combination of unique boutique spaces for merchandise, immersive experiences, and a rooftop cafe ala a cruise ship.
If proven successful, and why not (!?!), my bet is that we will see not only more of these cruise-ship-style stores but also more concept stores come from the Louis Vuitton brand.
And why not!?! If a brand is an experience, then certainly Louis Vuitton is an experiential brand!
