Just yesterday, I wrote about the new Macy’s holiday advert as a foreshadowing for the amazing creative work that is about to come upon us for the season and today here is a beauty …

In this piece of film directed by John Madden of “Shakespeare in Love” fame, Burberry celebrates a festive house party for the holiday hosted by Jennifer Saunders of “Absolutely Fabulous” fame. As the story unfolds, we see a buffet of celebrities come to the house, each bearing gifts and wearing Burberry fashion. The celebrity lineup includes folks from entertainment, fashion, and sports: Naomi Campbell, Ncuti Gatwa, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Son Heung-min.

I love how the director was able to weave in the fashions in such a subtle way, yet still front and center. Outerwear, t-shirts, sweaters, high fashion, accessories, and even wrapping paper!

I warned you yesterday that the film making is going to get real, the storytelling intense, and the emotions are going to run high with this holiday advertising season. Macy’s kicked us off and now Burberry gives us a craftsman take on the occasion.

Beautifully done from a fashion brand that knows beautiful work and that is making a comeback of late. This surely helps their journey of connecting with their audiences.

We are officially into the holiday advert season! Bring them all on!
