Uber’s “Women Preferences”
Source: IG
One key to a successful brand is to listen and adapt. Listen to your customers/consumers and adapt to their concerns and to their needs. Put them first!
Here’s one example of that from Uber: A new program called Women’s Preferences.
In response to expressed concerns from their female customers and their drivers about their safety with either male drivers or male riders, Uber is adding a feature where as a female rider you can request a female driver or as a female driver you can request a female rider.
Women’s Preferences. Eliminating safety concerns of potential abuse and harassment which has been a reported problem.
Smart. Easy. Responsive. Eliminating a problem. Likely at no cost to Uber or to its drivers or to its customers. Sounds like a win win win.
The programs is currently in pilot in select cities in the U.S. including San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Detroit and likely to expand once proven successful. I can’t see why it wouldn’t be successful. Do you?
Responding to your customers concerns and providing for their needs, in this case their safety and comfort, should generally always make your brand successful. Right?!?
A great lesson learned for any brand. Are you listening to your customers? Are you solving for their concerns and needs? Put them first and you’ll likely be successful.
It’s all a part of building the right brand experience for them. What’s your experience?
