“Tunetorials” for Marketers from Spotify #MusicMonday
Source: Spotify
It was Advertising Week in New York City just a bit ago so of course Spotify had a big presence teaching marketers how to use its platform to reach consumers. It was a packed house for the two sessions, I can tell you that!
But not everyone can make it to the live sessions so Spotify smartly created a series of music videos starring emerging artists to teach marketers different aspects of using their platform, one topic at a time on six different videos. Six sessions if you will, all set to music using the music video genre to entertain and educate. So clever, and very Spotify.
Here’s one on how to run a multi-format campaign featuring Carter Ace …
And another on reaching a target audience featuring Parbleu …
How about one more about driving ROI feauturing Big Sis …
Spotify is definitely creating a B2B brand here for its marketing customers with a distinct voice and character with an educational tone that I believe resonates and helps to sell. It’ll be fun to see how the brand stays on brand and continues the campaign. It’s one of the most unique approaches I’ve seen in the space, likely creating interest and loyalty in what otherwise might be somewhat lower interest.
BTW, Spotify has “pressed” all six of these songs onto vinyl for its customers as well. Well played.
