“The Kidney Pass” at the Way Out West Music Festival

Way Out West is a massive music festival in Sweden, with performances scheduled in mid-August by the likes of Charli XCX, Chappell Roan and Iggy Pop. As you can imagine, tickets sell out in minutes … leaving fans saying things like “what do I need to do, give a kidney to get a ticket?!?”

Exactly … the festival organizers went there. They partnered with a leading charity called “More Organ Donation” to give away a batch of tickets to people who registered as organ donors for when they pass away. To get a ticket, people simply had to register with Sweden’s National Organ Registry who BTW has seen a huge drop in registrations as of late. The festival organizers literally made it an option on the ticket purchase page!

The results? 2,000 new registrations! And lots of happy concert goers!

Great idea! So simple. Raising awareness, solving a problem. Doing lots of good.
